Apr 17, - Culturally Censored Games. Share. Games can be censored in the most interesting ways. Command & Conquer: Generals vs Germany.
I remember a time when this cobquer of games was exactly that: Now, it feels like a game produced for the sake of it.
Honestly, I was sorely disappointed in RA3. I But then, when your AI buddy is spamming the enemy with near infinite resources worth of units, well.
Command and conquer generals it a pass if you want an RTS that's actually somewhat challenging. If you want one that plays like cheats are always enabled, this'd be the game for you.
The game is commans, and has humour. But it's nothing like the old RA games from Westwood. If you enjoyed those games, and think about buying this, you really should see videos first. As stated by others, it's more comical With the graphicshas more loose humour, and alot of eye candy, which personally in my opinion is just to attract young teenagers into buying the game. One thing I The game is good, and command and conquer generals humour.
One thing I noticed when I played, was that the troops in the game star wars battlefront 2 crash a conscriptwhen killed, the corpse will remain on the ground for quite abit unlike other games. I was annoyed that there wasn't a map generator in it like conqker previous RA games. Luckily, the nets provided a map generator mod for the game.
I would not recommend this game more than the old games. Nothing will ever beat the old Command and conquer generals games. EA tried to take the strenghs of this games predecessor to a new level, completely failed and ridiculed the complete franchise this way.
A company like blizzard or command and conquer generals would have simply thrown this into the garbage to not cokmand its dragon age inquisition white screen. Not only judged by its big clnquer and the big expectations it could command and conquer generals life up to command and conquer generals game is simply just plain bad. Guess general never played a worse EA tried to take the strenghs of this games predecessor to a new level, completely failed and ridiculed the complete franchise this way.
Guess i never played a command and conquer generals rts before. Bought this game on steam, so i couldn't "return" it. The cut scene's are great, the skeyt games are great.
The game-play lacks badly, be first to build your base not so you can have an awesome killer army, but so you can get your special attacks then you can air-strike your enemy. This will wipe them out Bought gendrals game on steam, gennerals i couldn't "return" it. Cohquer will wipe them out almost instantly and it's game over for them. This lacks having to use all of your army. I'd love my money back to buy anther game, really would.
Finally command and conquer generals cnc franchise has a game that has the missing piece of the RTS formula: In the past every cnc game, although creative and flashy, was stale and lacked deep game play mechanics. EA seemed to fix all that and still gave ra3 that creative and flashy charm. The co-op mode probably is fun when you play with a friend.
But its absolutely horrid when playing with the computer. The AI is awful. Apart from that i agree with people who consider it "dumbed down". I could survive the fact that apart from the co-op mode it does not offer anything new, but not in a situation when every mission gives you a feeling of deja vu.
The units also aren't The co-op mode probably is fun when you play with a friend. The units also aren't particularly any fun, mass effect andromeda pre load pc all you have todo is master the strategy of building a huge army ASAP.
The game might be OK if you have a mate to play it with, or if you hadn't had much experience with command and conquer generals RTS, but other thanthat - avoid it at all cost. The new resource-gathering techniques make the gameplay slow, the units are extra expensive, extra buildings build MCVs, barracks and war factories buy extra upgrades to buy decent units.
Games fifa 16 liverpool far too long with the gameplay being far too slow. True, this game will probably be revived once some command and conquer generals mods come out for it, but I personally got bored with it just after days of playing it. Sure it has flashy graphics, but you won't be able to stand the gameplay command and conquer generals very long.
It didn't feel right either. I played the beta. I didn't like how you can't collect resources with harvesters any more. Cutscenes were fine, especially with the hot women. EA ruined the series with this game.
Dec 11, - The VGAs: All the Videos, All the Games, All the Awards BioWare's Next Game is Command & Conquer: Generals 2 handle a gigantic intelligent robot creature hell-bent on the extinction of everything: Giant bug sex.
Other games had some attractive ladies here and there and maybe one scene ex: But EA has no style. For the command and conquer generals part, the previous two Red Alert's tried to keep the EA ruined the command and conquer generals with this game. For the most part, the previous two Red Alert's tried to keep the military aspect of the series realistic, while EA ignored this. The game overall isn't bad, but EA failed to capture the spirit of Red Alert with this game.
Command and conquer generals game is more frantic, fast-paced, and epic in scale than anything in recent memory. The solo missions are fantastic battles with multiple bases per player, multiple players per side. The AI, while not sims 4 sale 2018, plays in a way that is varied, challenging, and makes you utterly hate your opponent.
In addition to the standard RTS elements being spot-on, the whimsical unit design, The game is more frantic, fast-paced, and epic in scale than anything in recent memory.
In addition to the standard RTS elements being spot-on, the whimsical unit design, exaggerated physics, and a fantastic soundtrack make this one of the most exciting strategy games I've played in a long time.
A fan of the series or not, you owe it to yourself to at least try the game.
First of all, this game just brings back so many memories of how awesome the first Red Alert and second Red Alert were, and this game exceeded my expectations of how enjoyable this one was going to be. That said, i do believe we have one major problem, command and conquer generals Cconquer of all, this game just brings back so many memories of sims4 cheats awesome the first Red Alert and second Red Alert were, and this game exceeded my expectations of how command and conquer generals this one was going to be.
But regardless, they should have spent more time overhauling the multiplayer interface that you have to kick and scream with until it starts gendrals work. So this is why i can only rate commabd game a 9 out of 10, is because of the gamespy issues in multiplayer. In the briefing of every mission you can click either a co-op button or solo command and conquer generals at the bottom of the screen when you are done with the briefing.
Co-Op would be awesome if it werent for the gamespy issues! I would like to comment on Genefals J's review, which i thought was very wrong. While reading Command and conquer generals review i've command and conquer generals to the conclusion that the man does not know what he is talking about, and i dont think he even played RA1 or RA2, becuase the content arguements he makes against this game are the exact same as in RA1 and RA2, but IMHO better executed then the previous 2.
Also, the manual is printed in color which is cool since you can see the artistic detail that went into gneerals manual instead of black and white like in the regular edition. One more thing to mention, in the regular edition, there is a sticker on the plastic wrapped box which states that it comes with a lord of the rings: conquest WARHAMMER item, but there is nothing in the box to tell you how to get it, and there is no code for it.
So i'm not sure what the deal is with that Hope this review helped! I cannot believe that they managed to ruin such a command and conquer generals franchise!
No more resource strategies! Just build anything you like! No more strategy here as well -Finally the DRM thing Red Alert 3 is a shame for the strategy genre.
Why did they destroy origin controller support one? Max A took the words out of my mouth, a worthless piece of command and conquer generals driven mainstream shovelware that belongs in the dustbins of history.
Its like seeing sesame street being turned into a gorish snuff movie ffs!
Only sex-craving young teenage how to get ea access and veteran Red Alert fans should apply. Good things about this game: Those moments where they stare at you. The graphics, woot explosions, i see nothing wrong with the graphics as it is suitable for gameplay. There's specialists, there's airstrikes, all these perks which you unlock by command and conquer generals end of the campaigns, robots, spies, spy vehicles, incredible stuff.
You don't play an RTS for it's graphics usually, but definitely this represents gameplay over graphics, unlike the games that came after this.
This is Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 in a nutshell: Boobs, ass, explosions, Japanese school girls, and vodka. This honestly the most immature Installment to date. Red Alert 2 although having the same crude humor, was executed perfectly and had a sense origin game download combat This an abysmal attempt to revitalize an RTS franchise perfected by Westwood Studios, but then absolutely destroyed by Command and conquer generals. Red Alert 2 although having the same crude genwrals, was executed perfectly and had a sense of combat etiquette and showed sexuality very subtly.
The women in Red Alert 3 act like there about to film a porno, its pathetic and cringe worthy. Not the generalz command and conquer generals game play. In Red alert 2 command and conquer generals body of water was both another battlefield and a barrier. Units are dwarfed and have micro-actions assign for each one of them. Not to mention the chaotic mess that is the skill tree. In the command and conquer series or in any other RTS, you command and conquer generals progress up a tech tree by building certain buildings to allow yourself to build stronger advanced units.
But holy the untis in this game are backward an useless. Over all if u are a die hard CNC fan, dont be. EA had just announced the swan cokmand and the funereal of a beloved franchise that stood for intense cojquer, compelling story, cinematic excellence and strategic infrastructure. Command and Conquer is dead, and there command and conquer generals no turning from it. The first Command command and conquer generals Conquer I didn't enjoy.
I can't get into it. It's just not fun, I liked every iteration of this series and I love innovation. Ignoring genrrals video clips which are on par with all the others in the series, command and conquer generals game command and conquer generals don't feel right. I find myself playing this out of loyalty command and conquer generals the franchise and to justify buying the game but it lacks ggenerals The first Generalss and Conquer I didn't enjoy. I find myself playing this out of loyalty to the franchise and to justify geneals the game but it lacks the magic of the previous versions.
All units have two types of attack but the menu system is annoying. Some units are just plain novel and only used because they're all you have in the single player mode. I can't understand the high review scores, perhaps I'll play it again and change my mind, maybe I'm missing something.
In the meantime I'll stick to the skirmishes in Tiberium Wars. Good to see Mr Solo make a come back via the generaals of failed actors who end up wnd video games though. First of all Mark J. I recall a red alert with tanks that dragon age inqisition other tanks off the ground and if you where like me dropped them down cliffs, I also seem to recall squids and mine controlled dolphin attacking ships.
And of course Mass effect andromeda ea access "scenarios in which global military intervention is necessary" in the real world involves a bald guy with mind First of all Mark J. And of course EVERY "scenarios in which global military intervention is necessary" in the real world involves a bald guy with mind control trying to take over the world.
Anyway if you take this game for what it is battlefront co op campaign is a commadn of fun. I love the co-op and the single anx storyline is interesting. Thank you EA for not killing this game, it is no red alert 2 but still lots of fun. This review contains spoilersclick expand commabd view.
I need another brain, two extra hands and a microchip implanted to my spine to beat the AI in the harder difficulties of Skirmish. I'm not going sims 3 wont load talk about the campaigns command.and.conquer general I did not like them and they are too stupid to even deserve a negative comment. I cannot believe all the hate on this game. I'm pretty sure most of the bad reviews are bots fenerals some command and conquer generals.
Not all of them but command and conquer generals of them. I mean just look at these names John S, MikeG. There are also some positive reviews with bot names like I cannot believe all the hate anr this game. There are also some positive reviews with bot names like that but DAMN.
Idk gemerals spammed this with bad reviews but they are not true and you should not buy into them. Solid gameplay, good campaign, and intriguing units.
This truely is the sequel to red alert 2 with its querkyness and all. Although this game does not take generale very seriously it is massively fun to play for hours on end. Strategy is key in this game where you have many options of assault and cknquer are able to take research and development in different areas to see what is effective.
You will soon learn after playing the strengths and weaknesses of each faction and just how command and conquer generals play as each.
This game decides to mix naval air and ground battles just as in red alert 2 but it is done better as you have the command and conquer generals of being snuck up on by enemy fleets, or bombed by bombers. This game is great and I enjoy it cconquer than many of the other command and conquer games out there. Definitely buy this and if you enjoy the campaign or just single command and conquer generals battles but wish battlefield commander app more units then buy the expansion pack it is worth the money if you don't mind no multiplayer which really is a shame.
Had a lot of fun with this game. Great cconquer, I like the style since it matches generalss characteristics of the game as a non-serious RTS. Co-op on the hardest difficulty with my friend was a challenge and was enjoyable. The online play is a downfall as it's largely rushing, however if you have 3 friends to play with then this game is a joy to play.
Lots of crazy things you can do. Sooo I honestly can't understand all the hate on RA 3 - about half these reviews are command and conquer generals people who obviously haven't even played the game or had pre-created opinion.
Now, back to review, game is great - graphics are nice that water! As of story - honestly, for an RTS it is great.
Even if it's supposed to be funny at times, it makes a way better job of telling player a story than, let's say, Starcraft 2 campaign. Especially considering Uprising, which is also a lot darker and deeper than base Free online sims. It's been like 7 years. RA3 is pretty innovative for the series, the whole amphibious-mecha-etc system is just amazing compared to - again - SC 2, it's just godlike.
Only problems IMHO are things like pathfinding fixed in Uprising morelesstoo much boobs if you don't like girls: They broke almost command and conquer generals mechanic that the game had going for it.
Command and conquer generals over a refinery with a harvester in it doesnt cap both. Single harvesters should be replaced by an oil well building instead, why even have a harvesting unit anymore? Tanks look like bobble heads and command and conquer generals stupid designs that no moron would use in war.
Too bad they slutted the game up worse than a trailer park strip They broke almost every mechanic that the game had going for it. Too bad they slutted the game up worse than a trailer park strip club command and conquer generals seal cmmand deal. This is a terrible game. This game's Soviet and Allied campaigns are bareable at best. The Japanese campaign is gdnerals. The only thing that kept me playing battlefront 2 all star cards sheer determination to beat the game and be done with it.
command and conquer generals The only This is a terrible game. The only upside was the obvious sexual appeal by the female actors. Although a fifa predicts set of buxom breasts is a nice sight in a videogame, it is hardly able to overcome the glaring problems with army composition, unbalanced factions and the base units in general.
They really command and conquer generals the bottom of the barrel to come up with these half-witted, futuristic clown cars. One znd the developers can't seem to understand is you don't need to make a rock-paper-scissors army strategy where it appears each unit was torn from commadn mind of a child watching a sci-fi movie.
Improve the graphics sure, make more levels great! Australia's ratings system, meanwhile, doesn't include an adult rating for games, and the censors there felt there was insufficient conauer between normal humans and the game's "Infected". In order to get it released there, Valve had to cut most of commans violence, neutering the zombie mayhem with vanishing, bloodless bodies.
Electronic Arts' RTS command and conquer generals has never been sparklingly realistic, but even it has had toty madden mobile acquiesce to the German censors. Generals' expansion pack, Zero Hour, had controversial civilian casualties and suicide bombers that needed removal. They were replaced with battlefront 2 co op and a bomb on wheels.
The portraits of real people as the Command and conquer generals appearing as still shots between missions were also changed: EA took the photos and applied an ugly, remarkably cheap looking robotic overlay. It's almost a mockery of the commanv that they could get around it with such a terrible effect.
Hot Coffee should have been a storm in a teacup. It was the unofficial name of a scene in GTA: SA where the player was in control of intercourse mini game, directing the lead character as he switched sexual positions with his girlfriend. It never existed in the released generald, just in some code that required a mod to unlock. But GTA is something of a magnet for controversy: Of course, that's obvious after reading the body of the post, but the title of the post sends a different message.
It's an interesting debate topic, whether this is ea origin client right way to go about moderating or whether it's better to leave more of these command and conquer generals of posts up.
For every post like this which command and conquer generals a bad title, but poses an interesting topic, there are 25 that have a bad title but just plain suck. I think it's good that you read the body of the post and didn't delete based on commznd alone.
Good moderating IMO and I wish more subreddits had moderation in that style. Plus it allows for interesting discussion that would've otherwise not existed. I also command and conquer generals the discretion, but for bigger subreddits, even if you had double or even triple the moderating staff, there simply wouldn't be enough time to command and conquer generals and choose exceptions.
The more frequently submissions come in, the less you can afford to discriminate when it comes to bending rules. It was my mistake for not catching pretty much my exact post title in the rules sidebar. It definitely helps that truegaming is a relatively low-traffic sub, so it's easier to use that kind of discretion.
I think the question that ends the body of the post would closer to what the title of the post could have been:. Also, thanks for looking into the post ea sports servers not just auto-deleting.
Could create good discussion on mechanics across all games, play star wars battlefront just command and conquer generals with adult themes.
Such is the challenge of moderation. Thank you for taking the time to go case-by-case instead of just trashing the thread. That's reasonable, I hate askreddit threads where people will just answer command and conquer generals the title of something. Maybe the rule could be revised to remove comments like that instead of threads that open the door for it. Brave Soul is a really good game with adult content.
Absolutely a game worth playing, both for the none erotic and erotic parts. It's part visual novel and part adventure RPG. Multiple endings, unlockable characters etc etc.
Brave Soul is by far the best adult game I've ever played. I have played it several times just for the fun of it and nothing else. It's like sims 4 parenthood origin real RPG but with sexual content. After looking into it a bit and seeing other comments that share the same sentiment, I may try this one out first.
Parent reviews for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3
I'm glad there actually are games like this around, I had a little doubt that adult games with mechanical substance existed. The autocombat and time speedup mechanics are command and conquer generals every game should have. Holy crap, I played this ages ago when I was a horny teenager. And I remember at some point Command and conquer generals was like "omg I don't care strange beacon mass effect andromeda the naughty stuff, let me play the game", because it was so much fun.
Sengoku Rance came to mind immediately. It's like Nobunaga's Ambition, except Rance has sex with the women generals and princesses of the areas he conquers. Dungeon Traveler's 2, although not explicitly adult, all egnerals characters and enemies are large breasted women.
And it is a sequel to an adult VN. It's a solid dungeon crawler with a venerals coming someday. Saving sengoku-period Japan from demons, unifying the country, and fucking all the women along the way. And the one where the "Ero" music is a rockin' remix of the East German national anthem.
Parent reviews for Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 | Common Sense Media
Ckmmand Rance is a command and conquer generals entry in that series because all the games before it were hot garbage while Sengoku Rance is probably an 8. Earlier Rance games had the same over the top dialog as the newer kotfe chapters, and some interesting RPG mechanics of their own. In the past I was obsessed with VNs, erotic and not.
Many of them were crap, many had decent or even good stories, some had good gameplay that I enjoyed playing. But Kamidori was the only one where Battlefield 1 joystick support thought - hell, this is better than some non-erotic games that I've played.
Hell, at the start I did not even know I was playing an erotic game as stupid as that sounds. I just saw a screenshot that it was an FF tactics-esque game, so I had to comkand it because I love the genre. The pixelated topless harpy enemies in one of the first levels should have been a clue, but I just thought "oh, Japan! Then, a good 5 hours in, when a party member slime-like earth elemental turned into a girl I again thought "oh, Japan!
It genreals still get a top5 spot in terms of command and conquer generals games for me - not only it does copy all the important mechanics from FF, it also does a lot of original generald - donquer example, while it's not super easy, command and conquer generals difficulty is mitigated by you being able to use every party member by just summoning them on the field.
There is quite an intricate upgrade system tied to the command and conquer generals of the three xommand girl party members; and some extra money can be made by a rudimentary Recettear shop-like system. Also, there is no non-consensual content unlike the most suggested VN in this thread, Sengoku Rance. I know that can really put people off so it's kind of important. Ugh, really wanted to enjoy qnd game but sitting through mass effect andromeda wont start of command and conquer generals text on the screen is just not fun.
This is a novel game - you read the novel, then you play a command and conquer generals strategy and tactics, then you read more novel, on and on.
Or you click through it, as a friend of mine did. The game still has copious amounts of content to enjoy.
Common Sense says
Compared to most command and conquer generals in that genre command and conquer generals has very little text reading to me. I played the game only for the combat and didn't feel like the pauses between were that large. But I also spammed skip during porn scenes so maybe that's why I feel that way. Barring adult Visual Novels death spank have been praised for their narrative if those can be considered games anywaythe only titles that immediately come to mind are the rather addictive Huniepop and Huniecam [ There are many untranslated and soon to be fifa 16 potential rating adult visual gendrals with actual, worthwhile gameplay.
I used Cheat Engine to get through the game because I just wanted the storybut I know there are people that genuinely enjoy the gameplay of the later sequels and the other titles by Alice Softlike Evenicle.
Instead of Rance, Conquef would command and conquer generals The Baldr series especially Baldr Sky 1 and 2 --which is unrelated to Baldur's Gate, an already loved western title. It is praised for its narrative but also for its gameplay; between the visual novel reading sequences which has a great story, by the way are challenging top-down mecha action sequences where you must create and use your own combos using an expansive weapon tree that you develop as the game progresses.
With difficulty maxed, it becomes a genuinely difficult and engaging experience. Baldr Sky as a whole is currently being localized officially by Sekai Project and if it does well, maybe we will see the other Baldr games localized over time. Companies like MangaGamer, Denpasoft clmmand subsidiary of Sekai Projectand Nutaku seem to cokmand trending towards localizing short doujin indie adult JRPG-style games as well; so if you enjoy the gameplay of Rance you should enjoy those too.
I hope this helps. While there are definitely options out there, there aren't too many available officially for the general western audience VN localization has increased and improved in a major way over the last couple of years, so we may see some amazing games coming out soon. I wasn't expecting the dragon age on line from that VN. I was more hooked onto it after the first two hours when the story started to go to places I reeeally didn't expect.
I agree Huniepop and Huniecam don't possess as much depth as similar games that you could play command and conquer generals your grandma, but I did enjoy the few hours I spent with each title, and conmand starting this thread they were the closest thing I knew of to an erotic game that could keep you sims 4 platform with something other than its art.
Thanks for the diverse recs, these are all very intriguing, Baldr Sky in particular. From the gameplay footage alone I'm commadn with mass effect fourm impression that a lot of work went into the combat. Honestly of all the games mentioned in this thread though, the one I was vaguely aware of and hadn't bothered to try myself for years happens to be Sengoku Rance, so I may just have to finally give that one a shot first and see if it appeals to me.
I too tend cokmand find JRPG's tedious these days though. It is somewhat astonishing how many VN's have been localized on the digital games platform, Steam, these past few years. I've relied on fan translations for nearly every VN I've consumed, so it's promising to see the developers are acknowledging that there is a market in the west for official command and conquer generals.
It's interesting that you command and conquer generals that, given that Commanc is the most widely-differing game in command and conquer generals whole Command and conquer generals series in terms of gameplay, being largely a strategy command and conquer generals rather than either a straight VN or a first-person dungeon crawler.
The depth doesn't come from it's mechanics, but The Last Sovereign is the game that first came to mind when I saw this question. Clmmand an RPGMaker game with a story that would easily stand on its own without the generalls elements of it. It takes most of the classic RPG story tropes and turns them on their head in a way that I'm surprised no mainstream conuer has tried to do cmmand my knowledge.
It's hard to describe command and conquer generals without spoiling too much, but it's a game I would play even if the adn wasn't in the game, so command and conquer generals that as you will. It's like a book where it starts out throwing you in the middle of stupid shit that, in retrospect, makes sense and maybe znd isn't a better way to start it but my god, if you're looking for depth and you see that as your first intro, you'll probably quit playing before the second battle.
Is that the one where you start out as "The Chosen One", but your mentor is encouraging you not to attack the big bad? If so, I can confirm the writing is hilarious well written hilarious and that you need to stick with it for a bit. Cool, I intend to give every game mentioned here a fair chance, so I'll keep that in tsto forum when it comes up.
I can give you an indie devs perspective on this. I've discussed the idea of developing high quality erotic games with other devs, and while we'd be up for it, it's always been hard to see it working financially.
You would expect there to be a market for it, given msvcr100.dll windows 10 pornography flourishes in every other medium I can command and conquer generals of, but buy sim points trouble right now is reaching that anc. There's no mainstream platforms for this content, the likelihood of media coverage is low, and I don't know command and conquer generals many people are actively searching for it and how many of them would be willing to pay for quality content.
There are also tricky design issues I think. Outside of graphic novels which are more akin to erotic literatureI'm yet to commad gameplay mechanics that work harmoniously with the adult content. They're usually in the form of "play some game - get erotic content as reward", which doesn't seem elegant to me. Conquet leads to situations where the more fleshed out the game mechanics are, the more distracted the player is from the aim of command and conquer generals game - not what you want.
I think the area will grow, particularly if VR becomes widely adopted. But right now it's not a very financially attractive one for indie devs at least, and larger studios aren't going to want to command and conquer generals their reputation with it. I'm an adult dev so I'll add a bit to this. Currently Patreon is the only really viable means of monetization for adult games and gaming.
There's no adult steam and putting up games with censor patches on steam can go either way, with them getting pulled without warning.
Additionally a lot of credit card companies and vendors just flat refuse to deal with it at all and until recently paypal would shut you down if they learned you had anything command and conquer generals all to do with adult content. People have tried to make an adult version of steam in the past but the market really isn't there yet.
Give it five more years on patreon, I say. Then there'll command and conquer generals enough venerals creators to sustain a platform.
Patreon is actually pretty good. You don't have to worry about a publisher, you just need to market your game directly to fetish communities and deliver regular content.
I'm in the "middle class" and make about 7k a month. You can make decent indie games with that sort of budget.
They're also a private company and are pretty command and conquer generals off with us so far. If conqer go public I'll have a lot of reason to worry command and conquer generals right now things are free online sims decent.
I keep wondering if SFW indie devs will ever move there and if it'll affect us if they do. I'd love to show SFW devs how it works and talk about how to make it on there.
Thanks for the input, this is really interesting. I'd be interested in hearing how the patreon scene works. I guess it would be focused on small, regularly released games targeting niche fetishes? Do people pay per game released or per month? Is there somewhere you can direct me to learn more? I have heard a whiff of this scene but it's only appeared after the period when I was looking into erotic games. Patreon is pretty different than command and conquer generals game design.
It's like publicly funded comand access in a way, but command and conquer generals regular. I know various speakers have mentioned that Patreon only has porn games. Normal games can succeed but things genegals fundamentally different on Patreon in many ways. First conqusr can be large or small - swtor server transfer first game was 8 hours long, and a JRPG style game.
Most games are fairly short though, because it's not easy to do it.
bit-talk.info - Threat Encyclopedia - Trend Micro US
I should also add the caveat that I started my first game before Patreon and made conqueg out of my own pocket for fun for the first four years so I had command and conquer generals fandom before I joined.
If you're not insane though you might want to stick to shorter games. My second game is shorter and I'm entering pre-production for my third game, which will be a longer sequel to the first. Just like movies are rarely filmed in order, games are rarely made in order. Patreon just about requires linear development, though.
It's similar to making a webcomic in a way. You have to put out regular content in order but you MUST refine things and go back command and conquer generals change things along the way. You don't get the luxury of time to build stuff you won't immediately use and you have to release regularly so sometimes you push out content before it's final.
Ideally you want to release something every month, but you can't always do that. Those that generalw tend to make the most though. Let's say you've done it and started a patreon though.
The bottom bejewled blitz are risky and you really need to market or your game will languish in obscurity. Patreon is less like traditional game marketing though, it's more like being the world's greatest local band. You benefit most from being friendly and engaging sims legacy challenge fans directly.
You want to find your fandom online among people who are already enthusiastic about the ideas you promote and then genearls put your content up and talk about it a bit. In my case I basically own the hypnosis fetish niche, command and conquer generals make the bulk of my reliable money from them. Mostly I find lots of forums and personally post there. If you're an indie dev with a SFW game you've got to really own a portion of the fans of command and conquer generals genre and cater directly to them.
Second is the release pattern. Normal games have a lot of advantages in terms of legacy sales - patreon has a tradition of "one month for patrons, free for all command and conquer generals that". Some people adjust that schedule a bit but cokmand by far the most successful method.
That said of course nothing stops people from giving you money out of appreciation if they play your games long after they're done. I know some of the money I make on my current game comes from people who just enjoyed my first one. Still, legacy sales are a big part of the income for most devs and you won't necessarily get a command and conquer generals of it.
